General information only
Tot and the totbabytracker.com website provide general information about feeding, sleep, diapers, growth, development and baby health. This information is not medical advice and is not a substitute for advice from your pediatrician, midwife, health visitor or another qualified professional. Always seek their advice about your baby's health.
Tot is a log, not a monitor
Tot records information you enter. It doesn't monitor breathing, heart rate, temperature or movement, doesn't detect illness, and isn't a medical device. Don't rely on Tot or any app to keep your baby safe while sleeping; follow safe sleep guidance from the AAP or NHS. See safe sleep basics.
Ranges and charts
Feeding amounts, sleep totals, wake windows, milestones and growth percentiles on this site are typical ranges from sources such as the AAP, CDC, WHO and NHS. Every baby is different. Premature babies and babies with medical conditions may need different guidance.
Emergencies
If your baby is unwell, has a fever of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher under 3 months, has trouble breathing, is floppy or unresponsive, call your doctor or emergency services immediately. See baby fever: when to call.
